My friend Diane Gilleland just surprised me with a copy of her new book, Kanzashi In Bloom. The book is full of her wonderful folded Japanese flowers adorning all sorts of projects.
The core of the craft is folding small squares of fabric and then gluing them together. The finished flowers look complicated but her directions are clear and there are very nice visual directions as well.
Diane has a very nice blog, Crafty Pod http://www.craftypod.com/ and Diane's is my very favorite crafting podcast http://www.craftypod.com/category/podcast/
The garland on the gift above is my favorite and will be my first project.
