BL Studio: Children's Picture Book Illustration

Join local children's book illustrator, Jenny Mattheson, as she inspires children to draw and create story book characters. Over the 4 weeks of class she will teach the children how to create character sketches, draw animals, make thumbnail sketches, and draw facial expressions.

Jenny Mattheson is a local children's book illustrator whose books include: "the Mouse, the Cat and the Grandmother's Hat", "Happy to be Girls" and "No Bows", as well as others. She has also been teaching kids' art classes for the past 5 years. She currently teaches after school classes at Malcom X Elementary, and has also taught at the Community Conservatory in her Native Pennsylvania.
