Florals: Daffodils
In the language and meanings of flowers Daffodils represent: Regard, rebirth, new beginnings, unrequited love, you're the only one, chivalry and eternal life.
Arranging Daffodils: Cut at least 1/2 " off and at a 45 degree angle for maximum water absorbtion. After cutting place in water. Do not add with other flowers for a few hours. Daffodls exude a clear, sticky sap that is harmful to other flowers.

59th Annual Orchid Exposition
Experience the “Natural Wonders” of over 150,000 orchids from across the globe at the 59th annual Pacific Orchid Exposition, the largest orchid show in the United States. This weekend long event, hosted by the San Francisco Orchid Society, offers educational exhibits from local, national and international orchid growers, as well as docent tours and cultivation tips from horticultural experts.

Florals: Beauty of One
Many years ago when I began arranging flowers I would mix a variety of flowers and colors. Now I prefer simple, less formal arrangements, using only one type of flower.
In a jam jar or a modern vase a simple arrangement with only one type of flower allows the full beauty of that flower to shine through.

Floating Flowers
Pretty and simple.
Just add water to a glass bowl from the kitchen or a pedistal bowl then toss a few flowers in. Add either a floating or a votive candles. I often do this with the little blossoms that are left over after arranging flowers.
